Happy New Year!

While 2006 has come in with a flurry of white. And according to the news there is more to come. Inland Connecticut is supposed to have 10 to 15 inches. Supposedly, here in Mystic we are supposed to have mostly rain. It must be time to take flight to warmer climes. Hawaii here we come!
Our New Years Eve was very special this year. We attended a wedding and it was really a blast. It was one of the best New Year’s Eves I can remember. What a very special thing to do. It was a spectacular celebration and the Norwich Inn did a fabulous job. The bride was beautiful, the groom, handsome and they seemed to have a blast. That set the mood for everyone. There was wonderful food, a great band and just wonderful people celebrating the wonderful wedding event and ringing in the New Year. The parents are proud and just wonderful, wonderful people.
I am hoping 2006 will be an easier year for people and the country. It would be nice to have a year without tsunamis, earthquakes or devestating hurricanes. Mother Nature has been very hard the past year or so.
Well, it’s time to put the holiday decorations away. I like to leave my white lights up another week or so. They are such a cheerful welcome on these long, dark, winter nights.
