I must admit I’m enjoying blogging and have been encouraging family and friends not only to read our blog but to create their own. Are you still wondering what a blog is?

First of all a Blog is short for a Web Log. It is an easy way to publish anything on the web. I signed up on the Google site to create the blog. There are many other hosting sites available. Often people create an individual Blog which on which they create all the blogs (or formatted messages with pictures) and they are published to the web. After each blog or message other people can add Comments and there is a comment “thread” that can be read after that blog. Typically if it is a travel blog the owner would give a journal entry of a day or event and people could comment on that day or event. The owner of the site can set who is allowed to comment to anyone, registered users, or members only.

Would you like to start you own blog? It’s really easy .. all the formatting is done by the blog software and all you have to do is upload the pictures and type in your messages (or blog - or web log). This blog is hosted by blogger.com You can start your own by going to Blogger and registering and clicking on create a blog. There are other free blogger sites. It’s all free and you just pick a template for your own “look and feel”.

So try it .. you can always delete it.. you might like it!
