Fun with Friends from the East Coast

BG and Rob now live in Florida, Jeff & Liza are still near us in Connecticut and Mary Ed lives in New Jersey. They just arrived in Maui and we are gathered for the evening whale watching and sunset.
Our dear friends, Ruth & Dick were supposed to come to Maui too but couldn’t because of Dick’s accident. We certainly miss them but we were very happy to hear that Dick’s operation on his leg went well and with time and patience he will recover.
The sunset certainly didn’t disappoint. The colors were fabulous and the weather typical Maui.
After the sunset we walked back to our place and put together a fun and delicious barbecue. What a way to spend a February evening. We understand that the North East is about to be bombarded with a blizzard. It’s hard to imagine from these wonderful tropical evenings.
We were also treated to a full moon over the palm trees. It would have been a good occasion for my tripod but this snapshot at least gives the idea.
