Chuck’s Pembroke Table

Chuck has been creating beautiful things in his workshop. His latest creation is a gorgeous Pembroke Table. It has a beautiful book matched crotched mahogony veneered top. The drawer, legs and curved drop leaves are inlaid with decorative trim and edged with ebony. The pictures below show the process of bending the steamed ebony in a jig and then gluing it to the leaf edge. Note the lovely, hand cut dovetails in the drawer.

Bending steamed ebony trim piece in a jig.

Gluing the steam bent ebony to the edge of the drop leaf.

Note the meticulous detail on the legs and drawer front. Also note the tight fit, hand cut dovetails on the drawer.

What a beautiful job! How lucky you are to have a furniture builder in the family!
