The Mystic and Noank Library was built in 1891 through the generosity of Captain Elihu Spicer. It is a beautiful building and a wonderful library. The Library has some wonderful events coming up in the spring.

Honor Book Weekend - March 31 - April 2
Come to Bank Square books over the weekend and select a book to purchase and donate to the library. You can have it dedicated to someone and a book plate honoring that person will be placed in the book. What a nice way to honor a loved one. You might want to honor a parent or grandparent. Or perhaps you have an upcoming graduate or other celebratory event that you’d like to honor.

Autographed Book Auction - Sunday, April 30, 6 to 9 PM
This is shaping up to be a wonderful event at the library with beverages and hors d’oeuvres and a Silent Auction of Antique and Autographed books. It will be a delightful time to enjoy an evening with friends and support your library. It begins at 6:00 PM with a Champagne party. From 7 to 9 PM there will be a silent auction with lots of goodies. A wide range of titles are autographed and donated and you can bid on them for your own library. Put this date on your calendar and join us for a lovely evening.

I hope a lot of our Mystic area friends will be able to join us to support these very worthwhile events at our library. It serves us all.

Download Audio Books - Beginning April 1
Did you know that soon you will be able to download audio books to your mp3 player at our library? This service will be available beginning on April 1. Library staff will be happy to assist you in doing this. You will need 1.5 Gbytes on your MP3 player and you will want to have one that supports bookmarks to save your place.

Family Library Card Day - May 13th

Come by the library to get a library card or just take a tour during this festive May Day.
