Spring Comes to Mystic
by Nancy ~ April 4th, 2006. Filed under: Mystic.Thousands of Daffodils Blooming
The Denison Homestead has thousands of daffodils that come up every spring. It is a site to behold which really is a thrill. The mild winter and some early warm days has brought the flowering bulbs out early here in Mystic this year. I think they are a couple weeks ahead of their normal appearance. We aren’t complaining! Last Sunday it got close to 70 degrees here and the sun was really delightful.
I go by this wonderful site almost every day on my way to play tennis! It really does lift your spirits.
Along with the spring flowers we are starting some spring cleaning. I have started another blog with items we’d like to sell. Visit it at www.CTitems4sale.blogspot.com … So far I’ve put up a bike rack and a tanning bed. Chuck will be adding the Bridgeport NC drilling machine and his Porsched Boxster. I may add some other items as I try to organize a few things.

Hi Auntie,
The daffodils certainly are lovely and cheerful! I tried to plant a few bulbs in a planter on my balcony, and no luck at all. I guess I just don’t have a green thumb, but I’ll keep trying!
Happy Spring!!
Carolyn =)
