Holiday Celebrations in Steamboat Colorado
by Nancy ~ December 18th, 2006. Filed under: Family, Holidays. We had a fabulous time celebrating with the younger generation in Colorado. Besides Adam and Peter, Peter’s girlfriend Kelly, my niece, Carolyn and her boyfriend, Scott joined us for the weekend. The weather was beautiful and mild. We had a comfy condo with a beautiful view of the snow covered mountain and valley. I kept the kitchen humming producing lots of comfort foods. Homemade soup, a roast stuffed turkey, a spiral ham and sweet potatoes. It’s amazing what 5 young adults can consume! And the leftovers filled Peter’s empty frig right up.
Peter is working very long hours at UPS delivering all those Holiday presents and store merchandise. He certainly needed the weekend to relax and recouperate. Adam, Carolyn & Scott went skiing while the rest of us enjoyed the charming town of Steamboat Springs.
The view from our condo was great!
Carolyn & Scott getting ready to hit the slopes.
Pete & Kelly enjoying a walk in town.
My ideal holiday is to have all my children, siblings, nieces and nephews together to celebrate. But like most families as everyone grows, travels and aquires other commitments we have to share their time with other families and places. So we do our best to be flexible and still keep the holiday spirit - to just enjoy each other when we can.
The view from Pete’s cozy apartment is beautiful.
