Woodworking Exhibit at The Hui
by Nancy ~ January 14th, 2007. Filed under: Hawaii, Woodworking. The Hui is a visual arts center on Maui. It is a wonderful place full of very creative artists. Chuck was happy to see that we would arrive here during their exhibit by the local woodworkers guild. As you can see the pieces are quite unique. Of course Chuck would be even happier if they would rebuild the woodworking studio so he could work on some items while he is here.
The exhibit included wood art as well as furniture. The woods here are particularly beautiful. Koa is a wonderful deep red wood.
Chuck is admiring a lovely hall table.
The wooden lei is a particularly Hawaiian piece.
This was the most spectacular piece in the exhibit. It is just a gorgeous table .. only $42,500.
The details are just wonderful.
This is a particularly interesting hall table.
