Motion in the Ocean
by Nancy ~ January 16th, 2007. Filed under: Hawaii.Paddling is a popular local pasttime here in Maui. We have joined the Maui Canoe Club which goes out early every morning for a paddle. This was my first paddling experience and I loved it. Chuck went several times a week last winter. It’s so wonderful to be out on the water in an outrigger. This was a calm beautiful morning. We spotted a couple turtles but some mornings we see whales and rays.
Here we are with our friends .. Phil is at the rear steering the canoe, I’m in front of him behind Chuck. Our friends Sue & John are in the front. If you click on this picture and enlarge it you will be able to see a man on a surfboard in the background. He was using a paddle to paddle a surfboard across the water .. another Maui water sport.
