Heirlooms Created by Chuck

These photos don’t do the pieces justice that Chuck has been building.  He only took up woodworking after retiring and has become as accomplished as most professionals.  He likes to have a new challenge in each piece he designs and builds.  He spends a good amount of time creating the piece in CAD on the computer before he begins to build the piece.  In that way he can work out details and proportions before beginning.
Tiger Maple Chippendale Chest

This tiger maple chest has the most beautiful classic styling.  It is modeled after an authentic antique Chippendale chest.

The beautiful sideboard above is created in cherry with a “western angel step” maple veneer on the doors.  The side doors and drawers are curved and are completely functional.  The feet are tipped with ebony.  The artwork above the sideboard is a photograph on canvas of a Maui Sunset.  The sideboard is housing a flat screen tv which is on a motorized lift.

Here you can see the sideboard with the tv raised for viewing.  Chuck remoted all of the controls so that the electronics are stored inside the sideboard and there is a small dimesize receiver under the tv that relays the signals to the tv, dvd or cable box.

Note the graceful curve of the side panels.  Truly a work of art.
