A Day on Lanai with Pete
by Nancy ~ February 10th, 2008. Filed under: Family, Hawaii, Places.Lanai is one of the smaller Hawaiian Islands. It is about 9 miles off the coast of Maui. It is small but gorgeous. We love to take the ferry over and enjoy a day of snorkeling, lunch at the Four Seasons on the patio and then a tour of the island. This year Peter joined us and we were rewarded with spectacular weather, snorkeling, food and gardens.
Pete is catching some rays on the ferry to Lanai. The West Maui Mountains are visible behind the boat.
The Hulopoe Beach park has camp sites next to the beach.
Pete is enjoying soaking up the sun and reading a good book - a perfect vacation forumla for relaxing!
A view of the bay from the Four Seasons. The snorkeling is great and often there are dolphins in the bay. We didn’t see any on this trip but perhaps next time.

For more information on Lanai visit my former Lanai posts from February 2006 and February 2007. The most exciting trip to Lanai was the Day on Lanai with Adam when we were Swimming with the Dolphins.
