Video of My Dad
by Nancy ~ April 28th, 2008. Filed under: Family, Featured, Headline, Latest News.I recently located some lost treasures in my attic. I’d been hunting since we moved for this piece of video which is of my Dad a few months before he passed away unexpectly. This video is boring in the extreme except to those of us who loved my Dad so dearly. It surprises me to see him walking along at such a normal size. To me he was larger than life and walked on water. I always felt he could take the world off my shoulders and nothing felt better than a laughter punctuated conversation with my Dad. This glimse into the past of him interacting with my sons as toddlers is very precious to me. The nicest compliment I ever received was when I heard he was pleased with how I handled my children. I thought he was the ideal parent and tried to be like him as much as I could.
So thanks to YouTube I can now share this with other family members.

Nancy, I am so excited to watch this with sound it is so great. I think the original taped videos of us on reel are in Carolyn’sbasement. That is the last I recall. Please inquire and I will help to bear the cost of whatever it takes to archive them. They may be beyond repair or she may not have them. But that is what I remember. I will make one last look in The basement in Hartford. Thank you for this video - it was a ” reel” treat. I

Wow. That was great. The whole thing is precious - I love seeing Grandpa and you and the boys. They were so sweet and you look beautiful! I can’t get over how much my dad looks like your dad…. Thanks for posting this and letting me know. I love it.
