Our avid angler, Peter, chose to board the boat at 3 AM to go sport fishing on Maui.  He went on a 9 hour fishing trip aboard Start Me Up - a 41′ Bertram.

My nephew, Joey is moving to Germany where he’ll be flying Nato diplomats for the Air Force. His wife, Leslie will be joining him there in June. We were delighted that they came up to CT for a little farewell party. It was the first time this year we had most of the family together.

I have just become accustomed to the next generation growing up and out into the world.  Now I am watching my nieces children have accomplishments!  It seems like only yesterday I had a house full of pre-school nieces and nephews for Christmas.  Where does the time go???

My older brother’s daughters kids are teenagers now! Unbelievable. The girls, Rachel & Abby, put this video on YouTube - Rockin’ Rabbits .. it’s great. Not a bit camera shy. I suspect their Dad helped with the production.

This Thanksgiving we were guests at my nephew, Joey and his wife, Leslie’s place in New Jersey. It was a real treat to let the next generation take over the holiday preparations. We really had a fabulous time. It was Leslie’s first turkey and it was superb. She made southern, corn-bread dressing which was delicious. [...]

My niece, Katie eloped with Steve! They got engaged last Christmas and decided to get married on a cruise. We are all thrilled for them. My sister, Melissa, had this lovely little reception so we could congratulate and celebrate with the newlyweds.

The summer has been full of lots of fun things. One of the best was having Pete home for a week. He and Chuck had a blast going to the Nascar Races in NH. Along with thousands of other fans!

Pete got in lots of fishing while he was home .. and usually caught one or [...]

Welcome Drew

New babies are such a blessing and it is such a joy to have a new baby in our extended family. My niece, Leslie, had a beautiful baby boy, Drew.
